Job description

Role overview

Battlers Green Farm Shop is a dynamic and welcoming retail environment committed to providing excellent customer service and quality products. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Retail Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers while also taking charge of promoting our latest product lines through our social media channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting customers, providing exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining shop presentation standards and ensuring shelves are fully stocked and well-organized
  • Operating the till and handling transactions accurately
  • Providing product information and recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Assisting with inventory management, stock checks, and replenishment
  • Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and safe for all visitors
  • Acting as the shop’s “Social Champion” by creating and posting engaging content on our social media pages to promote new lines and special offers.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate appealing content for online promotion
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
