Battlers Green Farm Shop was established in 1960, long before today’s flourishing appetite for fresh, local food came into being. The family-owned shop was originally a modest enterprise intended to do little more than supplement the income of a busy working farm.

It was, though, to prove the keystone for the gradual development of Battlers Green Farm Shopping Village. Today, although the number of retailers has grown, the Farm Shop remains our anchor store, a genuine original that stocks all you might expect, and so much more: high quality foods including preserves, jams and chutneys, fresh crusty bread, homemade cakes and quiches; fine wines from around the world; and a superb cheese selection, specialising in English farmhouse and continental varieties.

Our Produce

Our range of products has grown over the years, but one thing remains the same. Quality over all. Whether locally-sourced or selected from further afield, we know exactly where the items on our shelves come from and the high standards they’re produced to. We also stock a variety of products that cater to allergies and intolerances.

While we may have started out with the goal to feed our local community, today we also delight in serving visitors from further afield. Regardless, our aim remains that of a true farm shop, to give our customers access to quality, everyday items, plus a wide selection of the finest products for all tastes and occasions.
